Duties
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends while accommodating dietary restrictions.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste to optimise costs.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Participate in cooking and food preparation as needed, demonstrating hands-on leadership.
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, culinary arts, and kitchen operations.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly desirable.
