Responsibilities
Supervise and lead kitchen staff to ensure smooth, efficient operations during service.
Oversee daily food prep and cooking, ensuring consistency in quality, taste, and presentation.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety in compliance with health regulations.
Plan and execute our
weekday salad bar offerings
, ensuring freshness, variety, and creativity.
Spearhead our
brunch service on weekends
, delivering a memorable dining experience.
Collaborate with the Cafe Manager to develop and refine menus in line with seasonal trends.
Train, mentor, and support kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
Monitor inventory and place food and equipment orders as needed.
Jump in to assist with service during peak hours, ensuring timely and quality dishes reach guests.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a senior culinary role within a busy restaurant or cafe.
Experience managing and motivating kitchen teams.
Expertise in food preparation, batch cooking, presentation, and kitchen workflow.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a
fast-paced
environment.
Knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation standards.
Passion for fresh, creative food and a desire to innovate within a cafe menu framework.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
