We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background, with experience in food production and preparation, as well as a proven track record in supervising and managing kitchen staff. This role requires excellent leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hospitality.
Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation processes.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and restaurant policies.
Collaborate with other team members to create innovative menu items that delight our guests.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Engage with guests when necessary to enhance their dining experience through exceptional service.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen setting.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and presentation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests alike.
