Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of cafe-style meals, including breakfast, brunch, and lunch options.
Design and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed to avoid shortages.
Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficiency and consistency in food preparation.
Work closely with management to control costs and minimize waste.
Ensure dishes are presented attractively and meet quality standards before serving.
Handle customer feedback and make necessary adjustments to improve service and food quality.
Job Requirements:
Proven experience as a
Cafe Chef
, Line Cook, or similar role.
Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cafe-style cooking.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management.
Passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering high-quality food.
Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
