We are looking for a friendly, confident person who loves being around people and good grub!
We are a small, family run business, with a passion for quality, and supporting other small, local businesses. We are only a small team so the ideal candidate will be reliable and approachable, with a proven record of your reliability via a reference. A positive attitude, excellent attention to detail and working intuitively are also a must.
We are only an 18 cover cafe, however we can get very busy, so you must be confident, organised and able to multi-task at times. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe and delivering high-quality sustenance to our lovely, local customers.
Some experience with food preparation and cooking is required, however we are willing to provide in depth training to the right person, with a genuine love for quality produce, with a commitment to maintaining food safety standards. You will eventually be expected to perform kitchen duties independently at times.
This is a customer facing role.
Duties to include, but not limited to:
Prepare and cook a variety of simple meals from our traditional cafe menu, according to established recipes and standards Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations Washing up & deep cleaning Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient service Assist the front of house team in serving customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring the expected standards in customer service are met Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed
The details:
Hours: a minimum of 16 hours per week, over at least two days, to include a minimum of one Saturday per month. More hours may be available on an ad-hoc basis to cover holidays and seasonal changes. Position available from 6th October 2025 Holiday pay Monthly share of the tips Free lunch when you work more than 4 hours Free hot drinks Applicants must be 18 or over No Sunday hours as we are closed!
Paid trial shifts will be arranged to determine suitability for the role.
