We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and food service, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining high standards of food preparation and service.

Duties

Supervise daily cafe operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards. Manage a team of baristas and kitchen staff, providing training and support to enhance their skills and performance. Oversee food preparation and production, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and best practices. Maintain inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste. Develop menus that reflect current trends while catering to customer preferences. Foster a welcoming atmosphere for customers, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the cafe environment, including kitchen areas. Collaborate with upper management to implement marketing strategies that attract new customers.

Requirements

Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking. Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Previous experience as a barista or in cafe operations is highly desirable. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. A passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
