We are looking for an experienced and passionate Cafe Manager / Head Barista to lead the daily operations of our vegan cafe. You will oversee the front-of-house team, ensure exceptional coffee quality, and maintain a warm, welcoming environment for our customers.
This role is perfect for someone who loves specialty coffee, thrives in a customer-facing role, and brings energy, organisation, and attention to detail to their work.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily cafe operations, ensuring efficiency and smooth service
Prepare, serve, and maintain high standards of coffee and beverages
Manage stock, ordering, and supplier relationships to maintain cost-effective levels
Lead, train, and motivate the cafe team to deliver excellent customer service
Take charge of staff hiring, training, and ongoing team development
Uphold and maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards across the cafe
Handle cashing up, daily reporting, and opening/closing procedures
Ensure a clean, organised, and welcoming cafe environment at all times
Report performance and updates to Directors, supporting sales and cost targets
About You:
Proven experience as a Cafe Manager, Assitant Manager, Head Barista, or similar role in a busy, quality-focused cafe
Confident with coffee preparation and maintaining consistent quality
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, train, and motivate a small team
Organised, proactive, and able to multitask under pressure
Friendly, warm, and passionate about customer experience and community
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
