We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining high standards of quality in food preparation and service.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily cafe operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to foster a positive work environment.
Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and compliance with health regulations.
Maintain inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels effectively.
Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
Implement effective customer service strategies to enhance guest satisfaction.
Conduct interviews and hire new staff as needed to maintain optimal team performance.
Monitor budgetary goals and assist in financial planning for the cafe's operations.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations in all aspects of food handling.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen management practices.
Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience using POS systems.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Experience in training & development, ensuring staff are well-equipped to deliver exceptional service.
Background in hospitality management or fine dining experience is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on inventory control and budgeting practices.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
