We are ARTBOX Cafe - the UK's first dedicated character themed cafe!

We are looking for a new team member with strong supervisory skills and experience in hospitality, to join as a supervisor in our Brighton store and cafe. This role will involve retail, barista and food service. Our ideal candidate is someone with strong leadership skills who can motivate the team and uphold high customer service standards, as well as cleanliness and health and hygiene standards.
As part of the store team, you will also be expected to uphold the values, standards and brand image of ARTBOX and the character brands that we partner with. This role offers the opportunity to harness creative skills by assisting with the development and launch of exciting new menu items, and contributing to social media campaigns.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Providing the highest standards of customer service General housekeeping and merchandising Barista and food service Development of new food and drink items Contributing to social media campaigns Maintaining cleanliness standards Maintaining the security of the shop premises and stock Achieving sales targets Leading an effective shift Training team members Resolving customer problems Ensuring a friendly, welcoming environment.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

Proven Experience in a similar supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry, ideally in a cafe or food service environment. Excellent Organisational Skills, with the ability to manage day-to-day operations efficiently while prioritising tasks effectively. Exceptional Standards in cleanliness, customer service, and adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring the cafe always delivers a top-tier guest experience. Proactive Approach, able to anticipate needs, solve problems swiftly, and drive continuous improvement in all areas of operation. Strong Communication Skills, both verbal and written, to lead, motivate and support team members and to interact positively with customers and keep head office informed. Leadership Experience, with a track record of successfully managing, training, and developing team members to perform at their best.
Please note: This role is subject to a four month probationary period. We will organise a phone interview for successful candidates, and following that we will arrange an in-person interview onsite at ARTBOX Cafe.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
