At The Beacons within Caterplus, we don't just serve food - we create warm, welcoming spaces where the over-55 community can connect, share, and enjoy great company over delicious meals. Every dish is made with care, fresh ingredients, and a big helping of heart.



We are looking for a confident and reliable Cafe Supervisor to run a brand-new cafe as a lone worker. This is a customer facing role suited to someone who enjoys working independently, providing excellent service, and preparing simple fresh food.

You will be responsible for the day to day running of the cafe during its opening hours, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for the residents who use the service.

What you'll be doing...

Food Preparation & Service

Preparing simple cafe style food such as: Breakfast items Toasties Jacket potatoes Sandwiches Brought in meals (heating/serving as required) Operating an automatic hot drinks machine to serve tea, coffee, and other beverages. Presenting food safely and attractively.

Customer Experience & Sales

Delivering excellent customer service at all times. Engaging positively with residents and visitors. Proactively driving sales through warm interaction and high quality service.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Accountability for: Food Safety COSHH regulations Health & Safety compliance Environmental policies General legal and duty-of-care responsibilities Maintaining a clean, safe, and well organised cafe environment.

Operational Responsibilities

Working independently and using your own initiative. Managing daily tasks without supervision. Ensuring smooth operation during all opening hours.

Working Pattern:

5 days out of 7 | 20 hours per week | 10:30am - 2:30pm
