We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in hospitality, ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires a hands-on approach to both food preparation and team management, fostering a positive environment for both staff and customers.

Duties

Supervise daily cafe operations, ensuring efficient service and customer satisfaction. Manage food preparation and production processes, adhering to food safety regulations. Oversee staff training, development, and performance management to build a cohesive team. Maintain inventory levels and manage orders for supplies, equipment, and ingredients. Implement and uphold health and safety standards within the cafe environment. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal menus that reflect current trends. Engage with customers to enhance their experience and gather feedback for continuous improvement. Assist in the preparation of food items, including cooking and serving as needed. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a cafe or restaurant environment. Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and food production. Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Previous experience as a barista is advantageous but not mandatory. Background in hospitality or hotel management is preferred. Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
