Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Cafe Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure a smooth, efficient, and welcoming cafe environment in London. As the Cafe Supervisor, you will lead a team of baristas and kitchen staff, handle customer service, maintain stock, and ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Supervision:
Supervise and lead a team of baristas and kitchen staff, providing guidance and ensuring excellent customer service.
Conduct staff training, development, and performance reviews.
Create weekly staff schedules and manage shift changes to ensure adequate staffing during busy periods.

Customer Service:
Provide a high standard of customer service, ensuring that all customers have a positive experience.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and efficient manner.

Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations of the cafe, ensuring smooth service during opening and closing hours.
Manage stock levels, place orders for supplies, and ensure accurate inventory control.
Monitor and maintain cafe cleanliness, ensuring hygiene standards and health & safety regulations are met.

Financial Management:
Assist with cash handling, processing payments, and ensuring the accuracy of transactions.
Monitor and report on sales and help implement strategies to meet sales targets.
Maintain control over operating costs and wastage.

Health & Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and occupational health & safety regulations.
Conduct regular checks of the premises and equipment to ensure they meet industry standards.

Requirements:

Previous Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in a cafe or hospitality environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Experience working with food, beverage preparation, and customer service is essential.

Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in cash handling and using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food industry.

Availability:
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
