We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and culinary arts, with a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As the Cafe Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the cafe, from food preparation to team management, while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
Oversee daily cafe operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and serving practices.
Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that all food production meets safety and quality standards.
Implement effective team management strategies to foster a positive work environment.
Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service delivery.
Monitor financial performance and assist in budgeting processes as required.
Requirements
Proven experience in a managerial role within a cafe or restaurant setting.
Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
Previous experience in supervising teams and managing staff effectively.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
Background in hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous.
Barista experience is a plus, particularly in coffee preparation and service.
