Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in hospitality, and a keen understanding of food preparation and safety. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality.

Duties

Supervise and manage cafe staff, fostering a positive team environment Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and safety standards are met Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas Implement food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly Train new staff members in food production techniques and cafe operations Collaborate with the team to develop seasonal menus and special offerings Monitor financial performance, including sales targets and cost control measures

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or cafe setting Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking Background in hospitality with excellent customer service skills Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices Experience in team management, demonstrating effective leadership abilities Previous kitchen experience is essential; barista experience is a plus Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
