We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe supervisor to oversee daily operations within a vibrant cafe environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and leading a dedicated team. Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of cafe operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards
Supervise and motivate team members, including baristas, kitchen staff, and serving personnel
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe environment in accordance with food safety standards
Develop and implement operational procedures to optimise efficiency and service delivery
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue
Train new staff members in food production, safety protocols, and customer service excellence
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Experience in food production, kitchen operations, or hotel hospitality roles
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and motivate staff members
Barista experience is desirable but not essential; a passion for coffee is advantageous
Exceptional communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices in food safety
