Job Title: Cafe Supervisor

Where are we?

Mamawu is a cafe in a beautiful village near Emsworth. Situated on the A259 there is easy access to bus routes and Southbourne train station, in addition there is plenty of free parking nearby for drivers.

The cafe offers a good selection of great food and great coffee. We are an independent business who are looking for capable friendly staff who love working with people.

What is the role?

The Cafe supervisor will be responsible for the smooth & profitable service operation of the Cafe.

Your duties will be to:

Open and close shifts in the Cafe, Restaurant, complete opening and closing procedures and check tasks have been done to standard, complete cash upon closing a shift, maintain cleanliness and service standards. Recruit, train and develop the front of house team across all areas. Implement H&S procedures and new service standards to improve the offering. Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure all food is of a high standard and compliant with allergen regulations.

Our ideal candidate will be:

Experienced leading a team in a similar Food & Beverage Operation Passionate about food and drinks Confident in cash handling procedures Trained in food safety and Allergen awareness (or willing to undertake) Confident working in a busy, fast-paced bar environment Knowledgeable about Coffee making procedures, preferably Barista trained. Enthusiastic, dynamic and a champion of change.

The above forms the key areas of responsibility for this role but it should be noted that duties may change over time and the job-holder will be expected to co-operate with reasonable changes as required.
