The Rhynd is a small, family-run cafe located on a working farm near Leuchars. We are dedicated to providing a high-end, welcoming experience using the finest local ingredients. We are seeking a hands-on Cafe Supervisor to maintain our exceptionally high standards of service and manage day-to-day operations during our busiest weekend periods.
Key Responsibilities
Service Excellence: Oversee and deliver a VERY high standard of service, ensuring every customer receives a professional, warm, and efficient experience.
Food & Stock Management: Proactively manage food orders and inventory. You will be responsible for keeping orders up to date with our local suppliers to ensure seamless service.
Operational Leadership: Manage the cafe floor, delegating tasks to front-of-house staff and ensuring the team remains motivated and focused.
Quality Control: Maintain the aesthetic and cleanliness of the cafe, ensuring all food and drink presentation meets The Rhynd's signature standards.
Compliance: Ensure all health, safety, and food hygiene protocols are strictly followed.
Schedule:
Three days a week: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (8:00 am - 5:30 pm).
Occasional evening hours may be required for our popular Wine Safaris, Forest Feasts, and Supper Clubs.
Requirements
Driving Licence: Must hold a full, clean driving licence (essential due to our rural location).
Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory role within a high-quality hospitality or cafe environment.
Attributes: A passion for family-run business values, an eye for detail, and a calm head during busy weekend rushes.
Reliability: As a key holder for weekend shifts, punctuality and reliability are non-negotiable.
