The Opportunity



We are looking for a confident and hands-on Cafe Supervisor to join our vibrant cafe, which is just six months into an exciting journey. This is a fantastic chance to be at the heart of a young, rapidly growing cafe where your ideas and energy can make a real difference. You will take full responsibility for the smooth running of the cafe, ensuring quality and consistency in everything from food preparation to customer service.

What You'll Be Doing



Food Preparation & Service:



Prepare and cook fresh, tasty food with consistency and care. Serve hot and cold drinks to a high standard. Ensure all food is presented to meet our quality expectations.

Cafe Operations & Quality Leadership:



Oversee all day-to-day cafe operations, from food preparation to customer service. Act as the champion for the cafe's standards, ensuring quality and consistency in all we do. Ensure anyone working in the cafe is aware of and follows our operational procedures. Manage stock levels, working with the office staff to place orders, and coordinate with suppliers. Cleaning the kitchen and preparing the cafe for opening and closing.

Compliance & Health & Safety:



Ensure full compliance with food safety, health and safety, and licensing regulations. Maintain hygiene logs, allergen information, and incident reports. Report maintenance issues promptly and maintain high standards of cleanliness. Act as a nominated First Aider (training provided).

Additional Responsibilities:



Manage point-of-sale operations, including cash handling and till reconciliation. Handle minor administrative duties related to the cafe.

About You



We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced in Cafe or Kitchen Work:

You have strong cooking skills and at least 1-2 years' experience preparing food in a busy cafe or kitchen environment.

Responsible and Highly Motivated:

You take pride in your work and have a strong sense of ownership over the quality of the cafe's operations.

Customer-Focused:

You have a warm, positive personality and are passionate about delivering excellent service.

Requirements



Reliable commute to Waterlooville (PO7 7AY). Proven cafe, kitchen, or food service experience (minimum 1-2 years). Experience in customer-facing roles. Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, with training provided where needed.
