BS3 Community Development is a well-established charitable organisation in south Bristol - our mission is to improve the health, wellbeing & happiness of the people in the BS3 postcode area of south Bristol.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Barista/hospitality worker.

An exciting opportunity to be part of a lovely team, on our journey to bring The Southville Centre Cafe into the heart of the BS3 community - through our cafe's regular opening and events.

HOURS:

Contract 35 hrs per week over 5 days with occasional evening and weekend events. Immediate start.

RATE OF PAY:

23,084.99 per annum (12.65/hr)

Key Responsibilities

Making and serving barista style coffees and other hot drinks to be served in the Cafe.

Assisting with food preparation and service.

Providing outstanding customer service to a wide range of internal and external customers.

Supporting the Cafe Manager in the day to day running of the cafe.

Keeping the cafe clean and tidy, making sure that visitors feel welcome and safe.

Opening and closing the cafe, cashing up and producing end of day reports.

Use of the electronic till system for customer orders, stock control and ordering.

Contributing menu ideas by working with the cafe manager to develop a seasonal, sustainable and affordable menu that appeals to all customers (including young children and older people).

Ensuring all Health & Safety, allergen procedures, HACCP & Food Safety and Food Hygiene procedures are in place and adhered to.
