12.21 per hour. National Minimum Wage.

Hours:

20-30 hours per week - 0900-1500 Monday - Friday, half hour unpaid break, opportunities to pick up extra work at catering events. Job share will be considered.

We are also recruiting for casual workers to cover holidays.

Lily's Social Kitchen is seeking a compassionate and proactive

Work Coach

to join our community-focused cafe team. This role is about empowering trainees and interns--many with neurodiverse conditions--through hands-on work experience while delivering excellent service to our customers.

As a Work Coach, you will:

Serve customers in the cafe

, ensuring a welcoming, friendly, and professional atmosphere at all times.

Support trainees in every aspect of cafe work

--from food preparation and cash handling to customer service and teamwork.

Role-model high standards of food hygiene and health & safety

, ensuring trainees learn to follow safe and professional practices.

Guide trainees through real-life service situations

, helping them build skills and confidence while maintaining excellent customer care. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations, stock management, and cafe cleanliness. Keep safeguarding and accessibility at the heart of all activities, fostering a safe, inclusive environment. Ensure food served is of high standard and to the spec provided by the chefs
We're looking for someone who is:

Patient, empathetic, and committed to mentoring others through practical experience. Customer-focused, with a keen eye for professionalism and quality service. Organised and reliable, with strong communication skills. A team player who can balance coaching responsibilities with cafe operations.
