Hours:

27.5 hours per week - 0900-1500 Monday - Friday, half hour unpaid break, opportunities to pick up extra work at catering events. Job share will be considered.

About the role:



Every role at Lily's helps bring our mission to life. As a Cafe Work Coach, you'll oversee our satellite cafe service at the Holiday Extras corporate office, where we provide pre-ordered lunches, snacks, and cakes for staff.

You'll be responsible for running the service day-to-day, as well as coaching and supporting trainees to develop workplace skills and confidence in a real cafe setting. Alongside the regular service, you'll also support and deliver catering for corporate lunches and events held on-site.

In this role, you will:

Prepare and serve pre-ordered lunches, snacks, and packaged items using an online ordering system Support and deliver occasional catering for corporate lunches and events Oversee the daily running of the cafe, ensuring food safety and service standards are met Order stock, keep kitchen records up to date, and maintain a clean and safe working environment Coach and work alongside our trainee during their shifts to ensure they are at the heart of everything we do Create a calm, inclusive environment that supports learning and confidence-building Maintain food safety records and kitchen paperwork digitally Communicate clearly with the wider Lily's team and network and build relations with our Holiday Extras partners Safeguarding is central to this role, and you'll be expected to support and protect the wellbeing of our trainees, who are at the heart of everything we do.
You don't need to be a chef - just someone who enjoys preparing food, likes things organised, and cares about helping others learn.

About you:



Essential (must have):



A background in care, education, or support work (formal or informal) Confidence working with neurodivergent people and/or those with learning disabilities Comfortable preparing and serving simple food and snacks to customers Able to lead by example and create a safe, calm, and welcoming space Good communication and organisational skills Be able to complete our induction training by an agreed-upon timeline Willing to provide information for our Safer Recruitment check (2 x references and an Enhanced DBS)

Desirable (nice to have, but not required):



Experience running a small cafe, kitchen or food service Level 2 Food Hygiene (or willing to complete) Confident using laptops and devises to complete work (or willing to learn) Experience writing or maintaining basic records (e.g. food safety logs)
