To assist with a cafe's daily operations and interact with customers to ensure they have a positive dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Welcoming and seating customers.
Taking customer orders promptly and accurately.
Serving food and beverages with a friendly and positive attitude.
Handling customer inquiries and resolving simple issues.
Ensure a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Cafe' Operations:
Preparing and serving a variety of food and drinks, including hot and cold beverages, sandwiches, pastries, and other menu items.
Operating cash registers and handling cash transactions.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including tables, countertops, and equipment.
Ensuring proper hygiene standards are maintained in the cafe and completing related paperwork as necessary.
Restocking food and beverage supplies as needed.
Kitchen Duties
Cleaning: Washing dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment as and when required.
Maintaining Hygiene: Sanitising food preparation areas, work surfaces, and floors.
Team Support:
Working collaboratively with other cafe staff members.
Assisting with other duties as assigned by the Department Manager / Head Chef.
Communicating effectively with team members and customers.
Qualifications
GCSE pass in English and Maths or Equivalent
Experience:
Retail, hospitality, and/or customer service experience.
Other:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
