We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and an eye for detail, capable of transforming cakes into stunning works of art. This role involves working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, where you will be responsible for decorating cakes for various occasions, ensuring they meet both aesthetic and quality standards.
Duties
Design and decorate cakes according to customer specifications and themes.
Prepare and apply various types of icings, fondants, and decorations.
Collaborate with the baking team to ensure timely production of decorated cakes.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the decorating area in compliance with food safety standards.
Assist in the preparation of cake batters and other baked goods as needed.
Monitor inventory levels of decorating supplies and communicate needs to management.
Stay updated on current trends in cake design and decoration techniques.
Experience
Previous experience in food and bakery production or food preparation is essential.
A background in culinary arts or baking is highly desirable.
Familiarity with food safety practices within a kitchen environment is required.
Experience in a bakery setting will be considered an asset.
Strong attention to detail and creativity in cake design are crucial for success in this role.
