Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and creative Cake Decorator to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cake decoration and possess a keen eye for detail, ensuring each cake is visually stunning and meets our high standards of quality. Duties

Decorate cakes and pastries according to customer specifications and company standards Prepare icing, fondant, and other decorative elements for cake embellishment Assist in the preparation of cake batter and fillings as needed Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the decorating area and tools Ensure all decorations adhere to food safety regulations Collaborate with the baking team to ensure timely completion of orders Monitor stock levels of decorating supplies and notify management when replenishment is required Assist with basic food production and preparation tasks as required

Skills

Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or culinary arts, preferably within a bakery or pastry environment Strong skills in baking, cake decorating, and food presentation techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a kitchen setting Experience working in a restaurant or similar food service environment is advantageous Excellent attention to detail with a creative flair for design and colour coordination Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and tools used in cake decoration
