We are seeking a talented and passionate pastry chef and Cake Maker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a particular focus on baking exquisite cakes. As a Cake Maker, you will play a vital role in crafting delicious cakes that delight our customers.

Duties

Learn How to prepare our viennoisserie and laminate doughs Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Follow recipes accurately while also being able to create new cake designs and flavours. Manage the entire cake-making process from mixing ingredients to decorating finished products. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to throughout the baking process. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils used in cake preparation. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, reporting any shortages to management.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is highly desirable. Proficiency in baking techniques and knowledge of various cake decoration methods is essential. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in culinary environments is required. A background in food production or culinary arts will be advantageous for this role. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards is crucial.
