Job Description

We are still looking for a hard working, dedicated shop assistant for our bakery in Lanark.

We are a successful wedding and celebration cake shop and work in a small team of 5. We are looking for someone to join our team and assist our bakers and cake decorators. You should be hard working, reliable, dedicated and have high attention to detail. The job will involve a lot of cleaning tasks and serving customers, making cake fillings, keeping the shop organised. Ideally this will progress as new tasks are learned. You will be required to work on your own on occasions when other members of staff have their day off or are delivering and setting up wedding cakes. Shop opening hours are 9-4 Monday to Saturday. We are seeking someone to work 9-5 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. This job can be shared between 2 part time applicants but this will only be offered if 2 suitable applicants to cover the days are found.

Salary will depend on age and experience. We welcome applicants with all levels of experience from no experience to fully trained cake decorators and bakers.

A driving licence is necessary as this job will involve eventually delivering cakes in one of our company vans.

This is a permanent position, not temporary and is not suitable for anyone looking for a temporary position.
