Job Description

We are an established multiple location electrical test instrument calibration, service, and repair business. As a UKAS ISO 17025 accredited organisation, we pride ourselves on delivering accurate and reliable calibration services to our diverse client base. We currently have a vacancy for a highly motivated individual in our expanding Calibration Department based in the Newton Aycliffe area. You will be part of a multi skilled team of calibration engineers and coordination personnel.

As an electrical Calibration Engineer, you should have a good knowledge of electrical engineering and calibration processes with some understanding of electronics and Windows based software systems. You should be able to confirm this with relevant qualifications or experience gained during your career development.

This role is office based but may require occasional travelling to various customer locations and to our other sites around the UK. This may be required by customers during busy periods for staffing and logistical reasons.

To be suitable for this role, the following experience and qualifications characteristics are preferred:



Hold a technical qualification (such as a time served engineering apprenticeship, ONC, HND, HNC, NVQ/BTEC Level 3 and above or demonstrable relevant experience) or other electrical and electronic trade experience. Proven experience in electrical and/or pressure calibration within a traceable or UKAS ISO 17025 accredited laboratory preferred. Understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and quality standards preferred. Knowledge of Windows-based applications and automated laboratory software preferred. Experience of working within a customer focused environment Effective communication and organisational skills are essential. A full UK Driving licence.

Responsibilities



Conduct regular calibration of equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications. Utilise electrical knowledge and experience to troubleshoot and maintain systems. Interpret SOP's, work instructions, manufacturers documentation and technical specifications. Provide customer service by addressing client enquiries and technical issues. Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and maintain laboratory standards. Document calibration processes and results for quality assurance.

Full job specific training will be provided.



Package/Remuneration:

38.75 hrs per week 25 days annual leave and Bank Holidays Starting salary dependent on experience. Overtime is available for this role. Company Pension scheme Profit share
