Due to growth, THORCAL are looking for a Calibration Technician / Engineer to join their team at our laboratory in Hull.
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you'll calibrate a variety of test equipment and instruments, following approved procedures to make measurements and produce calibration certificates.
This role is open to candidates with a variety of levels of experience.
If you're just starting out in your career, and have an interest in measurement, we can offer full training as a multi-discipline calibration engineer and a friendly environment to grow.
If you're an experienced calibration technician already, and want to develop further in a growing and forward-thinking company and a place where your knowledge and input is valued.
Responsibilities
Calibrate test equipment to manufacturer's and industry specific standards
Produce fault reports and prepare quotations for repairs

About You
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
A Technical Qualification to Level 3 in a Science or Engineering discipline or experience as a calibration technician.
Excellent attention to detail and ability work to defined procedures
An interest in measurement and calibration
Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
Use of Microsoft Office applications
Desirable
Technical Education to Level 4 (HNC, BTEC etc)
Knowledge of types of test equipment and their uses
Experience calibrating a variety of test equipment
Highly Desirable
HND or Degree in an Engineering Field
Recognised metrology qualifications
Knowledge of ISO 17025 or experience working for a UKAS accredited company
Compensation
25000 to 35000 (depending on qualifications/experience) + monthly company performance bonus
