Key Responsibilities and Expectations of the job holder



To embrace all the Company's core values.

To have ownership and full accountability for all calibration.

Have a good knowledge of the Slack & Parr product range.

Have a good knowledge of all inspection processes.

Have a good understanding of all inspection capabilities.

To ensure all inspection equipment are fully up to date to comply with ISO 9001:2015.

To work with the purchasing department to ensure all externally calibrated items are delt with quickly, efficiently and within the financial budget.

To raise and propose the purchase of new replacement inspection equipment when the current items are not fit for purpose.

To store and manage all calibration certification to satisfy ISO9001:2015.

Escalate any major problems to the Inspection team Leader at the very earliest opportunity.

Have responsibility for inspection equipment in use to be within calibration.

Have responsibility for the safe storage of all gauges (with in the Kardex).

Have responsibility for record keeping of calibrated items.

Key Performance Indicators



KPI 1 - Total items out of calibrated < 50 items.

KPI 2 - Items issued out of the stores, out of calibration = 0 items.

Qualifications and Skills



Minimum Engineering Apprentice trained NVQ3 or HND Proficiency in using calibration equipment and understanding measurement standards is crucial. Experience in calibration labs, testing, or related sectors is highly valuable. Proficiency in using calibration equipment and understanding measurement standards is crucial. A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and precision in measurements. Familiarity with various measurement techniques and instruments is necessary. Knowledge of relevant industry standards ISO9001. Experience with calibration development tools and software is beneficial. Good communication and interpersonal skills are important for working with other engineers and technicians. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are critical for identifying and resolving issues related to calibration.
38 Hours per week Mon-Thurs 7.15am to 4pm

Fri 7.15am to 12.15pm

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: 28,000.00-29,076.00 per year
