CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY - NIGHT-TIME CALL HANDLER / CASE ALLOCATOR (SELF-EMPLOYED)
Location:
Remote - ideally based in the Darlington / Teesside / Northumbria area
Hours:
Typically between 18:00 and 08:00, up to four nights per week, including some weekends (non-compulsory, flexible scheduling)
Payment:
45 per completed shift (contract for services basis)

Full training and guidance will be provided before services commence
About the Opportunity
We are a well-established company with over 20 years of experience providing essential services to clients across the region. We are seeking a reliable and professional
self-employed individual or contractor
to deliver night-time call handling job allocation services on an independent basis.
This role would particularly suit
ex-call centre operatives
or "
night owls"
who are comfortable working evenings and through the night.
This is
not an employed position
and
not a sales role
. You will be engaged on a
contract-for-services
basis (Assistance will be offered in creating such a contract), operating as an
independent supplier
of services. You will have control over how and when you deliver the work agreed, subject to meeting agreed performance and reporting requirements.
Core Services Required
Handling and recording incoming calls between 18:00 and 08:00 (typically around 20 calls per shift)
Managing the outcome of calls taken
Producing a concise report of calls handled and cases allocated by 08:00 each morning
Ensuring accuracy and clarity of all information recorded and communicated
(Optional) Potential to undertake additional secretarial or administrative services as mutually agreed
Skills and Attributes
Excellent telephone manner and clear communication
Professional, calm, and organised approach under pressure
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Reliable internet/telephone access and quiet workspace suitable for remote working
Comfortable working nights and weekends on a flexible, self-scheduled basis
Suitable for
"night owls" or those with previous call centre experience
Engagement Terms
This is a self-employed / contractor position.
You will be responsible for your own tax, National Insurance, and related obligations.
As a
genuinely self-employed contractor
, you will not be subject to the direction or control of the company and are free to determine your own working methods and acceptance of assignments.
You are free to engage in other contracts or business activities.
The engagement is not governed by the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage legislation, as it constitutes a business-to-business arrangement.
The number of shifts and working pattern can be mutually agreed and varied, subject to operational need and your availability.
Training and induction will be provided to ensure understanding of the service standards and procedures before the first contracted shift.
