About Us:

Clover Cars is a well-established taxi company providing reliable and professional transport services to our community. We are now looking for a

part-time Phone Handler/Controller

to join our team and help us continue delivering excellent customer service.

Role Overview:

As a Phone Handler/Controller, you will be the first point of contact for customers calling our office. You will handle incoming phone enquiries, take bookings, and dispatch jobs to drivers in a timely and professional manner. This is a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer incoming calls from customers in a polite and professional manner Take accurate details of bookings and input them into our system Dispatch jobs to drivers efficiently and fairly Monitor driver availability and job progress Handle customer queries and resolve issues where possible Work closely with drivers and the operations team to ensure smooth service delivery

Requirements:

Previous experience in customer service, call handling, or dispatching (preferred but not essential - training will be provided) Strong communication skills and a clear telephone manner Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple calls/jobs at once Good computer literacy and attention to detail Reliability and punctuality

Strong local knowledge of Bromley and surrounding areas (advantageous but not essential)

Experience using a taxi dispatch system (Sherlock preferred) is an advantage, but not essential

Hours & Pay:

Role 1:

28 hours per week across 6 days Evening shifts on weekdays Afternoon and evening shifts on weekends Pay: National Minimum Wage (rate depends on age bracket)

Overtime is available
