Job Description

Are you interested in working with a team of enthusiastic assistants at Gaitway Summer Camp. We provide a fun, activity packed mobility school for disabled students. You will work under the guidance of Conductive Educators and physiotherapists to improve the mobility, flexibility, independence and well being of students who experience motor difficulties due to a neurological injury.

Your responsibilities will include assisting in the structured activities under the instruction of the co-ordinator, ensuring health and safety needs are met, communicating and encouraging students, and making sure they are having fun.

We would welcome candidates who have experience working with disabled children or adults, previous experience of working in a youth camp, club or in a childcare setting. Students studying medicine, nursing, teaching, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or any other caring role. However these are desirable criteria, the most important qualities you must have are enthusiasm, motivation, good communication skills, enjoy working in a team and a have positive, happy disposition.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 1-4 weeks

Pay: 10.00-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 35 per week
