Holiday Camp Assistants
to help deliver an unforgettable summer experience for children aged 4 to 11 at our school-based venues in Kingston Upon Thames.
About the Role:
As a Holiday Camp Assistant, you'll be at the heart of creating a safe, exciting, and engaging environment for all children. You will help deliver a wide range of stimulating activities that vary daily, ensuring children are active, entertained, and supported throughout their camp experience.
You'll be responsible for setting up and running a variety of sports-based sessions and team games, while also delivering creative workshops like summer-themed arts and crafts. You will also support the setup and supervision of thrilling large-scale activities such as
giant inflatables
,
bumper cars, NERF battles
,
gel blaster games
,
soft archery sessions
and so much more -- ensuring each child is included and having fun.
From guiding activities and managing transitions to encouraging positive behaviour and helping with snack and lunch routines, this is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.
If you're someone who thrives in high-energy environments, enjoys working with children, and can confidently support both structured activities and free play, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
Lead and support structured games, sports activities, and arts & crafts
Help organise and run high-energy camp experiences
Supervise children during break times, transitions, and pick-up/drop-off periods
Set up and tidy away activity areas and equipment daily
Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive atmosphere for all children
Maintain safeguarding standards and promote positive behaviour at all times
Represent Roar Kids Academy with professionalism and energy
What We're Looking For:
A positive, proactive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for working with children
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Previous experience in childcare, youth work, sports coaching, or education (preferred)
Relatable qualifications - qualified teachers, teaching assistants, coaches, childminders
A
clear enhanced DBS check

First Aid
and
Safeguarding
qualifications are ideal but not essential
Confidence in engaging children across a range of ages and interests
