The role
In this role you will be responsible for creating and implementing book campaigns and will provide some administrative assistance for the team. This position will report to the Senior Publicity Manager.
Key responsibilities:

  • Campaign management for allocated titles, creating and delivering plans that meet budget and have a clear conversion to sales.
  • Team lead for all our client publisher titles (Hardie Grant Australia & Hardie Grant North America). Creating and executing campaigns where needed, attending and coordinating meetings with the client publisher.
  • Collective campaigns: Devise and deliver seasonal and subject-driven campaigns throughout the year; driving further visibility of our books within the media and towards the consumer (e.g. Craft, Interiors, Gift)
  • Liaising with media and maintaining media relationships across print, broadcast, online and digital, and updating media lists
  • Creating and issuing monthly communications to our journalist databases (short lead and long lead press)
  • Assisting the Head of Department in preparing publicity materials for media meetings and presentations.
  • Monitoring the Publicity inbox and acting as first point of contact for incoming press enquiries.
  • Overseeing the submissions for book awards and prizes.
  • Providing high-level author care and assisting in the development and progression of key authors.
  • Supporting authors during press interviews where required, booking travel and accommodation, assisting with event logistics and planning, and managing invitations and guest lists for events.
  • Attending and contributing to marketing and publicity meetings to discuss campaigns and promotions for upcoming titles.
  • Working with the head of department to fulfil and support any freelancers.
  • Preparing press releases, book mailouts, fulfilling image requests and other ad hoc admin tasks, and assisting with administration when Marketing & Communications Assistant is on leave.
What you'll bring
Essential criteria:
  • Experience working on publicity campaigns
  • Demonstrable engagement with the food and lifestyle markets
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills to manage a variety stakeholders
  • Proven organisation and prioritisation skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work to multiple deadlines at once
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Acrobat

Salary
Circa 30,000 dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.
Hybrid working
While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. For this role we expect that you will work from our London-based office at least 3 days per week, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
