About the role:
The School wishes to appoint a highly motivated individual to join our enthusiastic and committed MBBS teaching team. The post is for one day per week on a Wednesday and is a fixed term appointment for one year.
The postholder will support small collaborative group learning on the MBBS undergraduate programme during the Year 4 Campus Days, and undertake the role of Academic Advisor for a group of students, including review of the students' portfolios. Facilitation will include Case-Based Learning, Clinical Reasoning, Professionalism and also social and behavioural science set in a clinical context. Half the day will be facilitation with the remaining time for preparation, assessment and administrative activities.
About you:
Applicants will have substantial, currently ongoing experience of working within a healthcare setting and will hold license to practice with the General Medical Council. Experience of small group facilitation and excellent communication skills are essential alongside experience of teaching undergraduate medical students.
