Can Line Manager Wanted - Hartlepool

We're on the hunt for a Can Line Manager to run our busy production line here in Hartlepool.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take the reins of a vital operation, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of a line that churns out 5,000 cans per hour, operating 120 hours per week.

Here's what you'll be doing:

Leading a high-performing team: You'll manage, mentor, and motivate your team of can line operatives, fostering a culture where safety, quality, and continuous improvement are top priorities.
Driving line efficiency: Your main goal will be to ensure our can line is always running at its best, hitting production targets and upholding our high-quality standards.
Solving problems on the fly: You'll be the go-to person for troubleshooting any operational hiccups, minimizing downtime, and keeping cans moving.
Championing best practices: We're looking for someone who can spot opportunities to make things better - whether it's boosting efficiency, cutting down on waste, or simply refining our processes.
Ensuring everything's by the book: You'll make sure all health and safety rules, quality protocols, and company policies are strictly followed.
Keeping track of performance: You'll monitor key metrics and provide regular updates on how the line is performing.
What we're looking for:

Solid experience in a canning or fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideally in a supervisory or management role.
A strong understanding of canning processes, equipment, and quality control.
Proven leadership skills - someone who can truly inspire and guide a team.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset when challenges arise.
A sharp eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to high standards.
Great communication and interpersonal skills.
A good grasp of health and safety regulations.
