Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Canine Hydrotherapist to join our team. We are looking for flexible Bank Staff as a self employed position to join the team on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong understanding of canine anatomy and rehabilitation techniques. As a Canine Hydrotherapist, you will be responsible for providing hydrotherapy sessions to dogs recovering from surgery, injury, or those with mobility issues. This role requires excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners about their dog's progress and treatment plans.

Responsibilities



Conduct hydrotherapy sessions for dogs, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. Assess each dog's individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with veterinary professionals. Maintain accurate records of each session, including progress notes and any changes in the dog's condition. Educate pet owners on the benefits of hydrotherapy and provide guidance on at-home care. Ensure all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safe for use. Assist in the lifting and handling of dogs, particularly those that may require additional support due to size or mobility issues. Collaborate with other animal care staff to ensure comprehensive care for all canine patients.

Experience



Level 3 or Level 4 Certificate or Diploma in Canine Hydrotherapy Previous experience in veterinary settings or animal care is highly desirable. Knowledge of canine anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques is beneficial. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and provide them with reassurance regarding their pet's treatment. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when assisting larger dogs or moving equipment. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential for success in this role.
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 10.00-14.00 per hour
