This Role
We are looking for a reliable, organised and friendly individual to run our on-site staff break room, including providing a daily buffet breakfast for our team of over 200 staff and to keep our canteen clean, tidy and well stocked at all times.
This is a hands-on role suited to a reliable person who enjoys early starts, takes pride in cleanliness, has amazing attention to detail and likes supporting a busy workplace.
Your responsibilities will include:
Opening up the canteen each day
Prepare and serve a buffet-style breakfast each weekday morning for over 200 staff, including laying out the buffet food items, switching on the various appliances, stocking the machines, dispensers etc.
Set up the canteen area prior to breakfast service
Clean down and reset the canteen following breakfast, including washing up
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the break room throughout the day, including washing up, surface cleaning, rubbish bin emptying etc
Ensure all food preparation and cleaning meets hygiene and safety standards (we can provide training if needed)
Monitor stock levels and order replenishments as necessary online, from our suppliers
Keep the canteen welcoming, tidy and well-organised at all times
You will always operate within all relevant Health & Safety guidelines
You'll excel in this role if you have the following skills & experience:
Reliable and punctual, with the ability to start early
Comfortable working independently and managing a routine
Good understanding of food hygiene and cleanliness standards (although training can be provided if needed)
Friendly and approachable, with a positive, welcoming attitude
Experience in catering, food service, or a similar role is desirable but not essential
