General Catering Assistant required, working Friday, 7.00am to 4.00pm and Saturday, 7.00am to 1pm. A total of 15 hours per week (14 hours per week paid after a 30 minute unpaid meal break deducted each day)
A general assistant position has arisen within Celtic Catering to work under the supervision of the Chef Manager to assist and carry out any instructions given in the preparation, cooking and serving of food, barista duties, cleaning processes and handling of cash. This position involves the successful candidate being responsible for the cooking of breakfast for the weekend service on Saturday and Sundays.
Possession of a current Food Safety Level 2 would be an advantage. The candidate should be willing to undertake any training considered necessary for the post. Catering experience is preferred with the ability to assist in all areas of the kitchen to achieve the required standards. the applicant must have an approachable manner with commitment and teamwork towards the service.
Duties will include helping with the preparation and serving of the breakfast and lunch service within a staff canteen, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, serving customers, complying with food safety legislation and all other associated tasks as required.
