Job Description

Job Title:

Canteen Kitchen Assistant

Reports to:

Canteen Kitchen Supervisor

Overall purpose:

To maintain the cleanliness and food within the canteen, providing excellent customer service to all employees and visitors.

Hours:

Monday to Friday 8:00am - 2:00pm

Salary:

12.25 per hour

Main activities:

Assist with food preparation and service as directed by the Canteen Supervisor

Maintain high cleanliness and organisation of the canteen including wiping and sanitising surfaces, washing dishes and mopping floors.

Follow all food hygiene guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Replenish all stock in the fridge including confectionery, beverages, and sandwiches.

Perform other duties as required to support the smooth running of the canteen.

Competencies:

Knowledge of basic food safety practice

Experienced in providing excellent customer service to create a friendly and welcoming environment for all staff.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred experience with working on tills.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: 12.25 per hour
