Lusona Consultancy is delighted to be partnered with our client in the Service sector as they recruit a Capital Accounting Manager on a Permanent basis. Based in Glasgow, you will join a fast growing business across a global, multi-site environment. The Capital Accounting Manager will be offered considerable benefits including hybrid working (3 days) a competitive salary of 45,000 - 50,000+ benefits and generous holiday allowance.
The Role of Capital Accounting Manager will be focussed on Asset Accounting across a global environment and will have responsibility of 1 direct report. You will be involved in the smooth running across the financial reporting process under IFRS reporting, ensuring audit readiness and efficient capital planning. The role will include preparation of fixed asset reports, depreciation analysis and capital project oversight across a global capital accounting process.
Your Role:

• Own the Fixed Asset Register: Maintain complete and accurate records across all entities, including additions, transfers, and disposals.
• Manage Depreciation: Calculate and post monthly depreciation in line with IFRS and company policies.
• Oversee Capital Projects: Monitor project spend, ensure timely capitalization, and support better capital planning.
• Deliver Reporting & Reconciliation: Produce insightful asset reports, reconcile monthly with the general ledger, and ensure audit readiness.
• Ensure Compliance: Uphold IFRS/local GAAP standards and internal capitalization policies, safeguarding documentation and controls.

• Timely, accurate depreciation and capitalization entries.
• High-quality reporting that drives better financial decisions

Your Experience & Expertise
To be successful in this role you will have over 5 years experience in a similar role across financial reporting and capital accounting. A deep understanding of fixed assets across multiple entities and an ability to improve processes will be key here. Our client are looking for a Qualified Accountant with ERP exposure and an analytical approach to problem solving. Working in a collaborative environment, you will engage with stakeholders across a multi-site environment.
