Cardiff Metropolitan University Student Study Assistant

We are looking for Cardiff Metropolitan University postgraduate students to come and work with students with disabilities.

If you have passed your undergraduate degree and know the university, we are looking for you to come and work with students alongside your studies.

The types of roles we would be looking for you to fulfil are:

Manual Notetaker - create personalised notes, an accurate and full account of lectures and seminars.

Study Assistant - to help the student to adapt to the academic demands of Higher Education

Library Support Assistant - to assist students with sourcing, copying, and scanning materials

Practical Support Assistant (General/Laboratory/ Sighted Guide) - this can include various assistive functions. Examples include providing practical and mobility support, assisting a student with carrying study materials or items of equipment or acting as a sighted guide for a visually impaired student.

What you can offer us:

Knowledge and experience of the local area and studying within a higher education setting

Knowledge of Cardiff Metropolitan University layout and buildings

Lived experience of being a student and possibly disability awareness such as Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Autism, Specific learning difficulties etc.
