Cardiology Support Worker, up to 37.5 hours per week Band 3
We have an exiting opportunity for Cardiology Support worker at the new Community Diagnostic Centre in Workington that is due to open in July . You will work as part of a busy multi-disciplinary team, providing support to the Cardiac Physiologists, Nurses and Doctors.
The essential criteria for this role includes the requirement to have a care certificate or the willingness and ability to undertake this. For further information, please see the additional information link which can be viewed under the "read this before applying" section.
Your role will be performing a range of tests such as ECG's, fitting cardiac monitors, blood pressure monitors and performing venepuncture. You will also support cardiac and respiratory Physiologist with more complex investigations such as Echocardiography , 6 minute walk tests and and pulmonary function testing. You will be expected to contribute to housekeeping and other departmental duties such general tidiness, equipment cleaning , stock replenishment and general administrative duties.
Applicants should possess GCSE in English language and Maths and NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) Experience of working in a healthcare environment is essential. You should have good communication skills and able to work as part of a team or individually. You should have the ability to prioritise your own workload and work to deadlines.
