Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes or care facilities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and wellbeing. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while fostering a supportive environment for clients.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in maintaining their personal hygiene and grooming routines. Help with mobility and physical exercises as outlined in care plans. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in their condition. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.

Requirements

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with clients and team members. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients when necessary. Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and communicating with the team. Ability to follow care plans accurately while being attentive to the individual needs of each client. Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help others and make a positive impact on their lives.
