Overview


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team in Care home in Middlesbrough. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those they serve.

Duties



Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Provide support in meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient conditions Assist with medication administration as per care plans Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a trusting relationship Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals and adjust care as needed Support individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism and dementia care Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive information

Requirements



Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, hospice care, or long-term care is preferred Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable Strong observational skills for monitoring patient conditions and reporting changes accurately Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and meal preparation for diverse dietary requirements Familiarity with memory care practices and Alzheimer's care is beneficial Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals A compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in providing high-quality patient care

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
