About the Role



We are seeking a proactive and organised

Care Commissioning Assistant

to support the

Assistant Operations Manager and the wider commissioning and operations team

. This role plays a key part in assisting with service coordination, data collation, contract monitoring, and stakeholder communication to help ensure high-quality, safe, and effective care services.

The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and analytical support to commissioning activities, contributing to service planning, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement across care services.

Key Responsibilities



Support the Assistant Operations Manager and team with day-to-day commissioning and operational tasks. Collect, collate, and maintain data to support service planning and identify care needs or gaps. Assist in preparing documentation and information for tenders, contracts, and service reviews. Support communication and engagement with care providers, service users, and other stakeholders. Assist with monitoring contracts and service performance, escalating risks or concerns appropriately. Help gather feedback and support compliance with safeguarding, quality, and regulatory standards. Produce routine reports, summaries, and briefing documents for management as required. Maintain accurate records and ensure information is handled confidentially and in line with data protection requirements.

Skills & Experience



Essential:



Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail. Ability to collect and work with data accurately. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. A compassionate, professional approach with a commitment to person-centred care.

Desirable:



Experience in health, social care, commissioning, or local authority environments. Awareness of commissioning processes, contracts, or regulatory frameworks (e.g. CQC).

Qualifications



Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in health, social care, public services, social sciences, or a related field (or relevant experience).
