About the Role
As Care Coordinator / Duty Manager, you'll play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing the high standards of care and support we provide. You'll be a role model, inspiring and guiding your team while ensuring that residents' welfare and dignity are always upheld. You'll work closely with colleagues, health professionals, and families to create a caring environment that truly feels like home.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading by example to demonstrate Courtlands' values and commitment to quality care.
Safeguarding and supporting our residents in line with the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
Providing day-to-day leadership, including managing care delivery, shift workloads, and personal care standards.
Administering medication safely and accurately.
Offering expert advice and guidance on residents' care to colleagues and health professionals.
Supporting the management team by deputising as required and ensuring excellent communication and teamwork.
Managing staff performance with encouragement, supervision, and regular appraisals.
Reporting any changes in residents' health or needs, and contributing to reviews of care plans and risk assessments.
Participating in audits and maintaining a safe, hygienic, and compliant environment.
Performing on-call duties as part of a shared rota.
What We're Looking For
Experience in a similar leadership role within a care setting.
A minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
A strong understanding of relevant care legislation and standards.
Confident leadership skills and excellent communication abilities.
A compassionate, empathetic, and person-centred approach to care.
