ROLE SUMMARY:
To support the overall management of our regulated services which includes the direct line management of staff working out in the community. To ensure working practices are followed in line with company policy to enable people to live independently and safely within their own home and live the best lives possible.
MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
To be visible and maintain good communication amongst Service Users receiving care within the community.
To review and update care plans regularly (a minimum of every 6 months) in line with changes of needs and expectations of Nurtrio's service delivery whilst continuing to monitor and carry out effective risk assessments.
To develop and maintain good working relationships with all relevant bodies associated with Service Users such as (but not limited to) Social Workers, Family Members, GP and healthcare professionals to ensure all Service Users are receiving the care and support needed whilst living independently.
To monitor and act upon system alerts to ensure the delivery of care is carried out effectively on a daily basis.
To lead the development of the staff team and individuals to enhance their performance.
To complete observations of competencies and compliance of staff performance ensuring a good quality service is continuously provided.
To facilitate monthly staff meetings to support the smooth running of services.
To carry out 1:1 supervisions on a bi-monthly basis
To carry out a 6 monthly appraisal meeting for staff and support team members to meet their objectives.
To oversee training compliance of staff teams within their service area
To participate in the investigation of incident reports when appropriate
To carry out front line care duties in staffing emergencies and to support the Rota Lead in light of last minute sickness and absences.
To oversee and comply with the legal requirements relating to services within their area of responsibility, including Care Quality Commission regulations. This will include collating evidence to support excellent practice as requested by the Registered Manager/Head of Quality and Operations.
To ensure effective management and security of information promoting communication between individuals, staff and other agencies and in line with good practice and Nurtrio policies and procedures.
To ensure that people living in their own homes are safeguarded from abuse: evaluate the risk of abuse, failure to protect and harm to self and other people and ensure that matters regarding the care and management of individuals are reported in line with Nurtrio policies and procedures using the North East Lincolnshire multi agency safeguarding policies and procedures.
To promote equality, diversity, rights and responsibilities.
To drive the promotion of health and social wellbeing for the people we support and assist people to maintain a sense of identity - this includes promoting and maximising social and developmental opportunities.
To carry out work with due regard for the health and safety of themselves, other workers and Individuals' and observe health and safety requirements relevant to activities.
To complete monthly audits for service areas within sphere of responsibility.
To support the senior on call team as and when appropriate
To deputise for the Registered Manager as required.
