Job Description

Key responsibilities and duties will include:

Managing a team of Carers and ensure correct procedures are followed for the delivery of personal care including administration of medication and its associated requirements. Management of staff rotas, staff sickness and staff holidays, being available and flexible to cover shifts in eventualities. Liaise with partner agencies such as social workers, OTs and doctors. Induct new staff ensuring that individual care and support plans are developed. Perform Spot checks (M & H and Medication Competencies), supervisions and appraisals of staff. Developing professional relationships with customers and their relatives and/or next of kins by maintaining an effective communication network and appropriate behaviour Ensuring that customers are encouraged to reach their optimum level of independence using skills available to them and providing them with tailor-made care in line with their circumstances. Ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used. Ensuring all administrative systems are implemented effectively, including documentation for staff and other agencies, data collection, information sharing in line with Kinder Home Care Services policy and the Data Protection requirements Ensuring continuous improvement by which the customers, their relatives, carers can contribute to the decision-making process. Ensure the ongoing safety and dignity of customers, staff and visitors through systematic assessment, monitoring and reviewing processes. Observing and documenting care and risk assessments issues in relation to customers and maintaining accurate and up-to-date filing system. Ensuring ongoing updates of activities including clients' and carers' concerns as well as complaints and compliments) in your location are timely reported (written and/or verbal) and compiled for submission and filing in the Office. Ensure that competent standards of care delivery are maintained and appropriately monitored and outcomes recorded and acted upon e.g. Medication and daily notes audits, fluid, body and nutrition charts Utilising established procedures for monitoring, notify Office of customer appointments and/or cancellations. Carrying out risk assessments and report (both verbally and in writing) all accidents and incidents promptly in accordance with Kinder Home Care Services Policy and Procedures Attending and contributing to management and staff meetings Maintaining high standard skills and acquiring knowledge through statutory and mandatory training to ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines, legislation and evidence-based practice. Act as a role model for good clinical and care governance practice

Car Driving

is a MUST with at least

2 years experience

in a similar or senior Carer role with a minimum Level 3 in Health and Social Care Diploma

(NVQ Level 3)

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: From 13.25 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
