Solomon Care Limited is a care home organisation that is committed to creating 'Cathedrals of Care'.
This is a key part-time role within our organisation having responsibility for all aspects of the finance/payroll and admin for a care home. You will support and report to the Director.
Based at Tilsley House, this is a demanding role with a varied range of tasks, where each day will bring its own challenges. This role will suit someone who can 'juggle several balls' at the same time, have a keen eye for detail, great organisational skills, be familiar with MS office products, and be at ease in a fluid environment.
Working in a small but growing company, you will be able to help shape the finance processes within the business. This an exciting role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities of Finance and Admin Manger
Preparation of monthly wages including collating overtime, incentives, absences, holidays and sickness. Familiarity with the Staffology IRIS software would be advantageous.
Keep staff folders up to date
Minute taking for meetings
Audits
Chase references
keep the home compliant with servicing and checks
Manage Pension auto-enrolment.
Managing income (predominantly resident fees).
Managing petty cash expenditure and Residents' pocket money.
Collating monthly supplier invoices, expenses and statements.
Making payments to suppliers and chasing fees.
Liaising with the accountant and suppliers as necessary to resolve issues.
Ad hoc tasks and projects to support the Director.
Liaising with the local authority about resident's fees, chasing payments and keeping accounts up to date
Develop good relationships with resident families.
Have a caring nature in all your interactions with resident and families.
AAT qualification would be desirable.
Qualifications required
An accounting technician's qualification such as AAT, MAAT or FMAAT would be desirable but not essential.
Pay: 13.50 per hour
Hours approximately 30 per week
Offer of employment will be subject to DBS results, referencing and right to work in the UK checks.
